Chapter 3: Operating VisualStation

Recording List

On the Recording List page, you can view a list of footage recorded with IP cameras. Recording les can be

played back, downloaded to USB device, or locked to ensure important recordings are not accidentally deleted.

Recordings are saved on the Synology NAS that is paired with your VisualStation. Recordings can be ltered

according to camera, recording mode, start time, le size, or video format. You can dene what recordings are

displayed by clicking the button with lter icon and the server name (

) on the top right corner

and conguring lter criteria.

Downloading Recordings

In order to perform backup or view recordings on another device, you might wish to download recordings. To

download recordings please do the following:

Connect a USB drive to VisualStation.

Note: Only one USB drive can be mounted. If you plug in more than one USB drive, downloaded items will be

saved to only the rst USB drive that you have plugged in.

Select which recording you wish to download.

Click the Download button.

Locking Recordings

Important recordings can be locked in order to ensure they are not accidentally deleted when the system wipes

old les. To lock recordings please do the following:

Select which recording you wish to lock.

Go to Lock > Lock selected.
